The Health Benefits of Salmon

I have found an eco-friendly, delicious salmon that is hand-filleted and canned right after it is caught to preserve its soft, supple texture. The company is called Wild Planet. They avoid using Fish Aggregation Devices and opt for methods that don’t disrupt the natural environment. The only ingredient added to their non-GMO salmon is salt and they only use BPA-free cans.

Below is a quick, easy and delicious recipe that works well as a fancy appetizer for your next party.

Easy Salmon Salad

12 oz Wild Planet’s Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon

2 stalks celery, finely chopped

1/4 red onion, finely chopped

Lemon juice – from 1/2 Lemon

1 tsp chili powder

1 pinch cayenne pepper

1/4 Cup Avocao Oil Mayonaise

In a medium bowl mix all ingredients together. Serve with assorted crackers — try Mary’s Gone Crackers — they are delicious!  This recipe can be refrigerated up to 2 days.
