Here is the last of a three part series on the 5 Key Components to Reverse Osteoporosis Naturally.
In case you missed reading about the other 4 Key Components you can read them here
Part 1: Exercise and the OsteoBlast Methodology
Part 2: Nutrition and Supplements
I hope you are not buying into the philosphy that the only way to reverse Osteoporosis is to take pharmaceutical drugs. You CAN live vibrantly, have optimal health AND reverse this condition naturally.
The key is making sure you are incorporating all five components into your Osteoporosis Program. Any program that lacks one or more of these componenets is incomplete…and therefore you will get incomplete results.
As a review, Here are the five key components:
- Exercise
- Osteo-Blast Methodology
- Nutrition
- Supplements
- Managing Stress
In this article we take a closer look at Managing Stress and I have a 10 Guided Meditation to get you started!
5. Managing Stress
Did you know that up to 85% of all illness and disease is caused by stress? It’s true!
Here’s an analogy to help you out, if I asked you to hold your hand out and I gave you a glass of water to hold for 30 seconds, you would more than likely not have difficulty. But what if I told you to do this for 10 minutes or 30 minutes or for an entire day?
There comes a point where doing this becomes more and more intense. This is what happens to our body when we are under constant stress with no relief.
Here are some techniques to use to manage stress:
- Journaling. Taking the time to write down in detail what is stressing you out and be a great release. You don’t and in many cases share this with anyone, you simply find a quiet place to gather your thoughts and write down everything about the situation. You are not looking for answers or solutions as much as releasing pent up frustration.
- Talk To Someone You Trust. Talking to your “bestie” is another way to release pent up emotions. The person you are talking to should simply listen, no judgement, no trying to fix what is broken. They are simply there to give you the space you need to tell your side of the story.
- Physical Activity. Go for a walk, practice tai chi, yoga, go for a bike ride or do some type of physical activity you enjoy. Physical activity is another great way to release pent up energy and emotions.
- Listen to Music. When you find your emotions and tension getting the best of you, take 10 minutes to listen to your favorite music without any interruptions.
- Meditate. When meditating you give your brain a break from the chaos. If you are a beginner or find it difficult to quiet your mind, find guided meditations that resonate with you. This will allow you to focus on the suggestions the teacher is using.
- Breath Work. This works great especially when something, someone or a situation happens very suddenly. Your boss comes into your office upset and says, “we need to talk”, you went in for a routine doctor visit and they left a message to call them back, your driving and someone passes you and then cuts you off. Breathe, take a slow, long, deep breath in through the nose, fill the lungs and then open the mouth and say “AH” … or take a slow, long, deep breathe in through the nose and then exhale very, very slowly.
To get you started in finding ways to relax and manage your stress I’ve included a 10 minute Guided Meditation in this email. Use when you feel stressed out, it works great during the day or at night before falling asleep.
Find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted, lie on your back, if you have glasses take them off. Enjoy!
BTW….Do you know someone who has Osteoporosis? Please share this article with them. There are over 40 million people in the US alone that have been diagnosed.
