A few years back I had a food sensitvity test done. I thought maybe I was sensitive to gluten because every time I ate bread I had digestive issues. Turned out it wasn’t gluten/wheat it was yeast that I was sensitive to…. finding breads, crackers without yeast is difficult!
This Quinoa Pizza Crust is easy to make, doesn’t have any gluten or yeast and you can make the entire pizza in about 30 minutes.
Soak in a covered bowl for 8 hrs:
3/4 Cup Quinoa
1 Cup Water
Pre-head the oven to 425. Drain the quinoa, place in a blender or food processor with the following ingredients and blend until creamy:
1/2 cup water
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 TBSP Italian Seasoning or Pizza Seasoning
1 TBSP Ground Flax Seed
2 TBSP Chia Seed
Line a pizza pan with parchment paper and spread out the pizza dough evenly. Bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, take another piece of parchment paper, flip the crust and return to the oven for another 5 – 10 minutes.
You are now ready to top the pizza with your favorite pizza sauce and other ingredients.
SECRET: I use tomato paste for my sauce — try it, it’s sweet and delicious, I follow this up with garlic powder, pizza seasoning, fresh tomato slices, olives, onions, bell peppers and thinly sliced zuchini. Bake an additional 8 minutes. YUMMM!
